The London Orchard Project now has come to Green Gate Land,
Teamed up with young Adam here, and the council played a hand,
They’ve all got together for, the sake of local fruit,
Reducing local food miles, and CO2 to boot

And if a large ferocious horse should come to Turnpike Lane,
Start chasing the local kids around and around again,
We shall cure his hunger pangs, with Sunset apples shiny
Feed him till his belly’s fat and his appetite’s gone tiny

Back in the 16th Century this place was a great farm,
No smelly buses or speeding cars to cause you fear and harm,
Those days are so long gone now but here the farm remains,
Pick your juicy London and your Worcester sweet

Some kids around London think, that they are really cool,
But they’ve never experienced, North Harringay Primary School,
Digging planting apple trees, out in the open space,
Making their own apples with a new exotic taste

The Great young Green Gate Apple Orchard finally is born,
We’ll wait for the blossom long before the sun gets warm,
The sign is up, the trees are in, the fruit is on its way,
Juicy local apples grown in downtown Harringay
